Local Lending – Now closed after reaching target! Thank you!
Here is the form for the local community Peer to Peer Scheme with a 4% interest per year paid gross. We are seeking 20 people who are interested in joining the local scheme of a minimum of £5,000 lending level and receiving a 4% gross interest per annum over a period of 3 years. We are doing this to keep the interest payments going to local people rather than a national or international banking facility were the interest leaves the area. Keep it local! With 20 lots of £5,000 this amounts to £100,000 of borrowing and an annual interest payment of £4,000. We wish for this sum to stay local!
“Fun of the Mountains!”
It was built in 1876
“Mynydd y Mynydd” It was built in 1876, when the railway from Glunderwen to Rosebush was opened, its original name was ‘The Precelly Hotel’ and to the present day outside the pub there is a reproduction of platform and signage cabin.
In 1992 the pub was closed
In 1992 the pub was closed, it was in a poor condition, and the proprietor brewery decided to sell it as a suitable site for construction. It was bought by a local couple, Brian and Brenda Llewelyn, who refurbished and renamed it in ‘Tafarn Sinc Preseli’ after the materials used to build it – galvanized corrugated iron.
